Wow, Joao, that is definitely a novel way to read the story. Getting to know Jardir first puts a whole different spin on the story.

Perhaps you can come to a signing when I visit Portugal in November and tell me all about it:

Greetings from Portugal!
I would like to congratulate the author for this extraordinary story. I havent enjoyed a fantasy book so much since The Silmarillion! I acctually bought Desert Spear first not having a clue what it was about and not knowing about the Warded Man. I bought it just cause I got interested in the back cover sinopsis! Having read its first 300 pages in 2 weeks I discovered the Warded Man and bought it right away. Now im reading it and im almost finished, and will soon resume Desert Spear. Not as indended, but since the story goes back and fourth I didnt feel it spoiled it too much. Loving the characters and the World created. If theres a movie it better be a good one!
Congratulations once again Peter!

Well, I'm from Portugal, and yes, we already have the second book in Portuguese! I'm reading it, as a matter of fact, and LOVING it (don't understand why some people got upset about the first two-hundred pages... The characters' storyline is what makes this saga so special, since "The Painted Man"! We needed to know Jardir's youth.

Can't wait also for November, since it appears that you Peat will be here in Lisbon!

I totally agree with Daniel! I'm Portuguese as well, and I gotta be honest, Lua Vermelha ("Red Moon") is basically a copy from the well known Twilight Saga LOL
But The Painted Man is awesome, and I hope that the Red Moon's fans that read the book enjoyed it too! :'D

I'm eagerly awaiting the Portuguese version of the next book in the Demon Trilogy :)
