The Most Awesome Con Badge Ever

Just some notes on NY ComicCon and other upcoming adventures:

NY ComicCon, Oct. 8-10, 2010, Manhattan, NY

You may recall that at last year’s con, some 40,000 weekend con badges were the cover of The Warded Man. It was the coolest con ever.

This year I am on the Sunday badge (left) and it is even cooler than last year’s. I also have three events at the con, one for each day:

Friday, Oct. 8, 7:30 – 8:30pm:

Epic fantasy panel including Joe Abercrombie, Peter V. Brett, Jim Butcher, Naomi Novik, and Brandon Sanderson. Pretty heavy company for the likes of me, but I promise to hold my own.

Saturday, Oct. 9, 3-4pm:

Signing at the Del Rey booth.

Sunday, Oct. 10, 11am -12pm:

Signing at the Del Rey booth. Come Sunday and get your commemorative Peter V. Brett con badge!

World Fantasy, Oct. 28-31, 2010, Columbus, OH

Not for the faint of heart, World Fantasy is a convention for the hardcore professional nerd. Mostly filled with industry pros like editors, authors, agents, and artists, WFC is the ideal place for pros to schmooze and wannabe writers to network. It’s one of my favorite conventions because I get to meet in person many of the people I work with year-round over the phone and e-mail. And get drunk with them. I never miss it.

Forum Fantastico, November 12-14, 2010, Lisbon, Portugal

I’ve never been to Forum Fantastico (or Portugal, for that matter), so I am very excited for this chance to meet my Portuguese readers.

ConFusion, January 21-23, 2011, Detroit, MI

I will be attending ConFusion in Detroit in January 2011 as a guest of Subterranean Press to present and sign copies of my new Subterranean novella Brayan’s Gold which publishes in January 2010.

  1. I am planning on being at NYCC on Saturday. So, I will have to stop by and get your signature on my book. (I am allowed to bring my book, right?) Unfortunately, I will miss the panel on Friday. Which is one amazing group of authors there. I am bummed I wont get the badge though. 🙁

Thank you, and hope to see you at NYCC. Have a great time!
