Kickass Warded Man Cosplay

Arthur has kicked ass in the last few contests. Why should this be any different. Thanks to his awesome gf Lauren, a cosplay ninja herself, and her friend for all the help on this. It was great meeting them in LA last year.  I’m sure it was a terrible hardship for Arthur to have to take two beautiful women to dinner and a movie, but we all must bear our crosses. My readers are the best people ever.

Hey Peat,

This might be a few minutes late, but I had to take the ladies that helped me with the painting and pictures to dinner and a movie in payment and I just got home (Lauren and her friend spent over 3 hours delicately painting each ward). I decided that there were far too few male entries into the contest, so Arlen was given the chance to stalk some demons. With the magic of Photoshop, we can see it as if it were daylight. It’s late, so I’ll let the pictures show the story.

  1. I would note for the record that Arthur had a fine head of hair when I met him last year. Extra props if he shaved it just for this…

  4. Leave it on for a while. It’s awesome! Who needs hair or a shirt or pants??? And never leave home without the dagger, too!

  6. Sorry, I meant spear. Was browsing another site at the same time. Blade confusion.

  7. Just for the record, I DID shave it just for Arlen, the loincloth was home made, the wards are more-or-less accurate (there were reference charts involved with “combat usefulness” in mind), and the wards were done with non-smear body paint so I spent well over an hour in the shower with a scrub brush to remove them. It took the better part of the day from start to finish, but it was a lot of fun hanging out with Lauren and Vanessa while I tried to keep the giggles to a minimum.

  9. Arthur, Where did you get picture references for your wards? I started thinking about doing this costume for a cun and of course your picture came up. Awesome job!
