German fans, mark August 20, 2012 at 8PM on your calendars! Peat is headed to Berlin to do a reading at the Otherland Bookshop in Berlin, Germany.

  • A discussion between Peter and his editor Sebastian from Heyne, Peat’s German Publisher
  • A reading from Das Flüstern der Nacht by a German actor
  • A short reading from the original English version read by Peter V. Brett
  • A Q&A with audience participation
  • A signing after the event
  • Admission is 3 euro
  • You can RSVP on Peat’s Facebook for this event

Where: The Otherland Bookshop (Buchhandlung)

Bergmannstr. 25 10961 Berlin

When: 8pm on August 20th, 2012

I have been perusing the Otherland Bookshop online, and it looks top notch. Dedicated mostly to science fiction and fantasy, they pull all the big titles from the big German publishers like Heyne (Peat’s publisher), but also have an excellent selection from smaller presses. They have novels in German as well as English. If you are attending the event, I would advise checking in early to do some shopping!

Peat is really excited to meet some of his German fans and hang out in what appears to be one of the coolest bookstores in Berlin.

In honor of Peat’s trip to Berlin, we will be running a German Warded Man and Desert Spear Giveaway. Visit the blog again soon to win your very own German versions of the beautifully illustrated Das Flüstern der Nacht (The Whispers of the Night).

Peat will also be in Poland for PolCon as a guest of honor. Check out the Appearances section of the News Page to keep up to date with Peat’s 2012 schedule.

Don’t forget to submit to Dating Ads Contest going on now. We have some really top notch entries so far, and we want to hear yours! Post your entry by July 27th at 11:59pm EST and check out the guidelines here.

  1. Marked. I like that shop. It might be a bit small, though.
