The First Review

Posted by Meg

So it begins. The ARCs are out and the first review has come in for The Daylight War. Fantasy Book Critic is careful about giving away major spoilers in its first preliminary review, though there are a couple of minor spoilers, so read with caution.

Want a taste of what’s to come in February? Check out the review now. Or, if you want to stay away from reviews until you get your hands on the book yourself, take a glimpse at this non-spoiler snippet.

I want to emphasize that in this book all the promise of the earlier volumes gets fulfilled as the author delivers the “real deal”, with the only downside being that we want and need the next book asap …

Check back at Fantasy Book Critic for a full review closer to the publication date, February 12, 2013.

  1. Yeah… I have the feeling that I will really want the next book as soon as I’ve read this one. It’s fantastic and I never bring up the strong will to put it down at the end of a chapter and usually fall asleep with it open in my hands and the light still on. Last time that happened to me was when I read the last Harry Potter for the first time at the age of 15!!

  2. It’s spoilerish if you pretend that’s not how things were going to go down. I guess it’s still kinda spoilerish in that they confirm it happens in this book rather than later books. Either way, the spoiler-shock was minimal, and now I simply can’t wait for the book to arrive on my doorstep.
