ST Cover Contest: Coreling Prince

Posted by Meg

Scott had the awesome idea of putting a coreling prince on his Skull Throne cover. Here’s what he had to say about the process:

I got the idea of using the skull of a Coreling Prince as a cover, when Arlen killed one of the mind demons at the end of The Dessert Spear. Charcoal has always appealed to me as a medium even though it’s a bit of a bugger. I figured the skull would be old and slightly damaged as no one has probably managed to kill a mind demon for centuries. I’m hoping that Arlen and Jardir will take the fight to the demons and enter the core in this book so that’s why I added ‘The Core is Calling…’

Beautiful. I love the use of charcoal, and the striking mind ward of the coreling prince’s skull. Fantastic work, Scott. Thanks for entering!

The contest is now closed, but we still have a few more entries to show off. You can check out all the covers on Facebook.

The Skull Throne now has a release date! The fourth book in the Demon Cycle will be out in the U.S./U.K. on March 24, 2015. You can check out the official U.S. cover here.
