Grimoire and Portable Wards

Posted by Meg

This beautiful grimoire and portable wards, made by Christopher from Germany, was an awesome entry for the Warding Contest that we never posted! Christopher referred to it as a “Keep save at night Survival Kit”. Check out what else he has to say about his pieces:

The first one is a completely handmade Grimoire, how I imagined it could look like. It’s bound in leather and wood and it contains the Grimoire out of The Great Bazaar, the Polish illustrations and some things I added myself … It can be carried around in a warded belt bag made out of linen. The line on the first page is translated: For my Jiwah-Ka. That we have each other is Inevera.

The second piece(s) are portable wards. I engraved the wooden plates with a wood burning iron. They also come with a warded linen belt bag. Maybe they are going to be a portable warded circle some day. Last but not least, a set of Alagai-Hora. I came up with the idea in the progress of making the Grimoire. They are not really a gadget for survival in the night but I had to make them since the idea with the UV-marker, which is only visible under UV-Light, worked out so well. They are kept safe in a black warded bag.

This is everything you need to be an expert Messenger in the land of Thesa. The details of the wards a beautiful. Excellent job, Christopher! You will be receiving a set of warded dice in the mail!

The Skull Throne now has a release date! The fourth book in the Demon Cycle will be out in the U.S./U.K. on March 24, 2015. You can check out the official U.S. cover here and pre-order the book here.
