  1. My favorite scene is every one involving Leesha. I just love the character!

  2. The very end of “the desert spear” holy cliffhanger batman, never been so excited and mad in my life at the end of a book!

  3. My favorite scene was Rojer and his wives performing as a trio at the small hamlet, showing everyone how they control demons and can actually make them destroy themselves.

  4. My favorite scene when Arlen bestows gifts on his friends Leesha, Rojer, Wanda and Garet from his dilapidated and hidden manse. Unlike Jardir who gifts are meaningless, Arlen has collected or crafted or warded every treasure himself, and therefore everything means more…. I would love to see that collection of relics and that workshop!

  5. My favourite scene so far (among many!) is Arlen and Renna’s wedding. For having established so thoroughly the enmity of the Krasians and Thesans, they come together in celebration in a manner that is heartwarming and still believable. =)

  6. My favorite scene is when Lesnar and her mother have a small bonding moment at the Inn right after the refugees arrive at the hollow.

  7. When the big rock demon looses his arm!

  8. Can I just pick a whole chunk of a book? Because the backstory sequences for Jardir in The Desert Spear were phenomenal.

  9. My favorite scene is when Arlen comes back home and teaches everyone that they can actually fight back.

  10. My favorite part is Inevera’s back story. Especially when she punishes her father for the death of her brother.

  11. My favorite scenes are the two perspectives given from Arlen and Jardir describing how they first met and fought demons together. It was cool to see how the same scene differed between both characters.

  12. I love the initial battle with the giant rock demon in which it loses its arm. Then I love the idea that this rock demon continues to follow/hunt Arlen for revenge.

  13. Lots of great scenes in the first three books. I think I enjoyed most Arlen’s initial battle with the Rock Demon that would become One Arm.

  14. My favourite scene is Arlen rescuing Rena from getting staked.

  15. My favorite scene is the end of book 3 with a literal cliff hanger. I haven’t had so much emotion from a book since shape killed dumbledore!

  16. My favorite scene is in The Daylight War where Abban gets his revenge on Hasik. Brutal, patient plan.

  17. My favorite moment is the first scene of every book because I know an adventure awaits.

My favorite scene was when Arlen was left for dead in the desert and had to hide under the sand so the demons wouldn’t find him. He’s at his weakest and closer to death than ever before, but he rises up and begins his journey.

  18. One of my favorite scenes is when Rojer is called weak by his wives and shows them and everyone else with them the power of his music.

  19. My favorite scene ends Arlen climbing out of the demon pit and telling Jardir that he’ll have to kill him himself.

  20. My favorite scene would be Arlen’s quick defeat of One-Arm using the Spear of Kaji, and his realising that revenge was vain. Then he sets on a new path, deciding to help mankind against the demon threat. This felt both like a big anti-climax and a pivotal moment.

  24. My favorite scene is when Arlen and Jardir fight in The Daylight War. Epic.

  25. As Arlen and Jardir fight in the last scene. specifically as Arlen demystifies as Jardir smacks into the rocky floor to sound of breaking bones.
What a way to make me wait 2+ years to find out the next scene. Truly Awesome writing

  26. my fav scene is the first one written from Jardirs perspective, since I remember thinking yeah, good luck getting me to like HIM after the last book. Well, by now its really difficult deciding who I like the best, Arlen or Jardir 😉

  27. My favorite scene from the Demon Cycle is when Arlen returns to the Brook and saves Renna Tanner. Throwing the demon limb at Georgie Watch makes me smile every time!

  28. My favorite moment? The time when Arlen tries to save his mother by running out at night to drag her away from the Corelings desperately trying to save her and ease her pain with mud.
