Hey everyone! Peat is going to be in Seattle at Emerald City Comicon TOMORROW and all through this weekend. Here’s how his schedule is going to look:

Friday

(1:00-2:00PM) Signing with Badali Jewelry Specialties, Inc, booth 111.

**A free Time Ticket is required to participate in the signing. Tickets are available at the booth and upon request at badalijewelry@badalijewelry.com**

(4:00-5:00 PM) Panel: Deleted Scenes. Located in W603. Group signing to follow.

Editing a book is no easy feat, especially for the person who wrote that book. Authors Peter Brett (The Demon Cycle), Kevin Hearne (Iron Druid Chronicles), and Robin Hobb (Fool’s Quest), each read a deleted scene from a published novel and discuss why it landed on the cutting room floor.  Moderated by Del Rey editorial director Tricia Narwani.

Speakers: Tricia Narwani, Peter Brett, Kevin Hearne, Robin Hobb.

(5:15-6:15 PM) Panel: Would I Lie To You? Located in W603.

Let’s face it, authors are basically just professional liars. They spend all day making things up. Come watch as two teams of authors spin their best yarns in the vein of British gameshow Would I Lie To You?

Speakers: Myke Cole, Jason Hough, Kevin Hearne, Jessica Murray, Ramez Naam, Karina Cooper, Robin Hobb.

Saturday

(12:00-1:00PM) Signing at the University Bookstore booth.

Speakers: Tricia Narwani, Peter Brett, Kevin Hearne, Scott Sigler, Sylvain Neuvel.

(7:00-11:00 PM) Worldbuilders Charity Tabletop Gaming Party. Located in Room 2AB (Level 2).

Join creators from across fantasy and science fiction in a night of gaming to benefit Worldbuilders, a nonprofit that helps raise funds to combat poverty in developing countries. Attending the party are writers, artists, game designers, and performers—people who help bring our imaginations to life.

Other

(April 9- May 7) Gallery event. 5628 Airport Way S, Ste 150. Seattle, WA  9810.

Lauren Panepinto is curating a gallery show where famous professional artists paint their “Dream Covers”. They pick beloved novels and re-imagine covers for them. Artist Allen Williams (who, among other things, designs Kaiju for Pacific Rim) chose to do Warded Man.

This is a beautiful exhibition that we definitely recommend. If you’re in the area, go check it out! You can find all the details here.
