Warded Wednesday: Demon Cycle Haiku Winner!

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! This Haiku contest was a huge success! We had a -ton- of amazing haikus from you guys. Like I mentioned in last week’s post, Peat’s Daylight War Haiku Contest served as the inspiration and I’m happy it turned out so well. There have been a ton of other amazing contest ideas from the past that may be revisited (wink), which we hope you guys get just as excited for!

For today though, let’s all give a big round of applause for our winner this week who sent in two haikus.

Warded Man haiku:
Once knew a girl from Cutter’s…
Wait, that’s a limerick.

I’d give my right arm
to be able to draw wards
as well as THAT guy. -FredG

Congratulations, FredG! I especially like the first one. We’ll be contacting you shortly about your prize.

Our next Warded Wednesday is TOMORROW. Be sure to check it out! In the meantime, there were a bunch of other entries that deserve a look-see:

Living in the daylight
Surviving in the darkness
Who will deliver us -Stinga

“are the demons there?”
asks my girlfriend next to me
“always” i reply

****************************

ward circle at night
make a haven of safe light
still, you hear the screams -Andrew

Swooping, deadly, low
The Wind Demon circles
Diving, shrieking, kills. -Scott

Calculus needed.
Rojer is in the bath tub
He plugged the bath cork
*************************
Demon in the sack
She lays him down on his back
Soon a heart attack
*************************
Darkness upon him
Light ahead, there is hope.
Only twin embers
************************* -Khaled
