I was a reader of Savage Sword of Conan as a youth, and to hear that Peat is writing new stories for the pirate queen stabbed me with two thoughts:

One:

I believe Peat to be the only male writer I have read that can pull off strong female characters without sacrificing the feminine. Weber does alright, but he's synthesized his Harrington character and series into Clancy v2.o and Hornblower v5.3.

Two:

I am sooooo very consumed by jealousy. I would love to write for and in Hyperboria.
