Fanart: Amazing New Demon Cycle Tattoo

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! NEW TATTOO ALERT!!

Okay, when I say ‘new’, I’m taking some liberties. This one was actually shared back in October of 2017, but it’s new to the blog, so that totally counts.

Ross Spreadborough got their arm tattooed with this awesome Demon Cycle illustration and it is just incredible. Check it out:

Gosh, the shading on this is just so gorgeous and well done. I also love how neatly the did the wards. Those are hard to get right sometimes and I give mad props to anyone who can. What an awesome tattoo!

Fanart: Herb Gatherer Leesha

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! Today we’re got fanart of my favorite herb gatherer.

This Leesha Paper piece was created by MissPrimrosy on Deviantart. Check it out!

I love the colors and that background is just -gorgeous-. I really like how, in the background, the outlines are colored rather than in black– it really makes Leesha pop off the page! Very, very, cool.

If you like this style, go see more of their artwork on their Gallery.

Warded Slipcase– Gifted!

Posted by Karen

Remember yesterday’s post about Patrick Furnan’s warded slipcase? Well Peat’s fans must be crazy-super talented, because that’s not the only one we’ve seen.

Back in October, Patrick Heffernan actually sent Peat a warded slipcase big enough for the whole set of the Demon Cycle. Check it out:

There are wards on sides that are raised and embossed.

This was one of the most generous gifts Peat has received to date. It’s sturdy and fits the series perfectly– within a quarter of an inch. Helping Peat to slide in the Core and watching it fill out the case out so neatly was so, so, satisfying.

The amount of time and effort that obviously went into this is staggering and Peat really could not be more in love with this slipcase. It now holds a place of honor in his office and, I’m sure, in his heart.

Warded Slipcase

Posted by Karen

Fans have been warding all kinds of things over the years, from cakes to shirts to themselves. This time, I’m delighted to show off this gorgeous warded slipcase created by the talented Patrick Furnan’s. This case houses their collector’s edition of The Painted Man:

Absolutely beautiful. There are also wards on the opposite side for extra protection. And they GLOW:

I want one of these for all my books. In the meantime, I’ll have to sit here and drool over these pics for awhile.

Pumpkin From The Past

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! Last Halloween, we got an awesome pumpkin fanart that fell through the cracks, but definitely deserves to be mentioned. This was sent in by @i.n.s.t.a.g.r.i.m and is really frikken cool:

I’m always blown away how people can make wards so defined via carving. Mad skills.

Last back in 2016, we held a pumpkin contest. We didn’t get around to it this year, but hopefully we can do another soon…
