Hey everyone! Nearly five years ago (goodness!) we did a post on Adam Reese’s awesome Demon Cycle sketches. You can check it out here.
Among a bunch of other cool pictures, there was one of a warded Arlen pulling up his hood:

Recently, we found a similar piece of art. mateart_access on instagram posted these pictures of a custom cup that takes the spirit of Reese’s work and simplifies it a little. It is, in a word, -awesome-.
See for yourself:

Thanks so much to mateart_access for putting up this pic. This glass really does look great– perfect for sneaking some couzi before a long night.

Hey everyone! A little while ago we posted a piece of fanart depicting Arlen’s evolution over the years.
Today we’re happy to announce that the artist, aliasReuter, has drawn two more Demon-Cycle-related pictures. First up is the incredible and acclaimed Rojer Halfgrip!
I love everything about this, from the freckles to the shading to pose. The motley pants are especially cool. Those textures and patchiness are perfect and I adore the colors– perfect for a performing jongleur.
Next up is aliasReuter’s interpretation of Abban the Khaffit and it is -excellent-. Check him out:

Ahhh, this is so good! I adore his features and body shape and the details on his camel cane. Abban is in my top five favorite Demon Cycle characters, so it’s nice to see the character getting some attention. Absolutely awesome.

Hey everyone! Where my tabletop players at?
Both Peat and I are huge Dungeons and Dragons nerds (it’s kind of how I got this gig). With that in mind, you can imagine our delight when Marko Babeli said he’d created his very own rock demon miniature:

I’m just at the middle of my 4th book from your demon cycle, The skull throne, and I’m mind blown… I made a rock demon from my point of view, I’ll include some pictures!
This thing is terrifying and awesome in all the best ways. In this battle the rock demon is terrorizing a smaller, cloaked, opponent who can use magic. Sound familiar?

An epic battle has to take place on an epic battlefield. I think this qualifies.

Thanks so much to Marko for creating this and sending us pics! Makes me want to get started on my new campaign…

Hey everyone! Ah, sweet serendipity.
In the wake of yesterday’s post about Peat’s latest interview, we got pinged about another– one that never saw the light of the day. This one is brought to you courtesy of Jay Tomio at Boomtron. You can check out the full interview here!

For the longest time I knew I had conducted an interview with Peter V. Brett but for some reason maybe the file never carried over during various iterations of the site. I finally found a copy in my email circa 2008…
Thanks so bunch to Jay for publishing this! I took a look and a lot of the answers still hold true. Who would have guessed that the question about a ‘Hollywood pitch’ would be so relevant right now?
For more old interview, feel free to check out the Interviews section of this site. There’s some good stuff there.
