Warded Wednesday: Favorite Lines Winner!

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! Last week we asked you to let us know your favorite lines from The Demon Cycle. There were some good ones, so this one was chosen at random:

“We are what we chose to be, girl ‘ she said, ‘Let others determine your worth, and you’ve already lost, because no one wants people worth more than themselves.”- Herb Gatherer Bruna of Cutter’s Hollow to Leesha. (The Warded Man)

One of my favorite lines in the first book. The hag Bruna was a wise old lady for sure. This is indeed a very strong message specially for those who have been bullied. Never let yourself down just because of what other people say or think about who you are. Just be confident and be yourself! <3 -Karen M

Congratulations, Karen! Er.. other Karen. We’ll be contacting you shortly about your prize.

There’s no Warded Wednesday tomorrow or for the next couple of weeks. Instead, we’re having the super-special-awesome Warding For Treasure Contest! The prizes for this one are UNREAL, so go ahead and check it out.

“There’s a wide world out there, for those willing to brave the dark” Ragen, The Painted Man

That one was sent in by both Justin and Rachael. To be fair, it’s a pretty awesome quote

Thanks so much to everyone who sent in their submissions! If you have any suggestions for future Warded Wednesday questions, feel free to leave them in the comments below.

We have warded rings and pendants, some with custom enamel in your choice of color, with more exciting pieces to come!

Hey everyone! Oh my gosh, I cannot tell you guys how excited I am whenever we get to see new warded tattoos. These are the coolest and I can’t, I just… guh!

Mike recently sent in pics of his awesome warded tatoos protecting him from clay, water, mimic, and mind demons! And since it’s on the fist, it’s perfect for punching them in the face.

Brazilian Review of The Desert Spear!

Posted by Karen

Hey everone! The Brazilian edition of The Desert Spear has only been out for a little while, but we’ve already got reviews. It’s so awesome to see fans discussing The Demon Cycle and we’re grateful to everyone who shares their thoughts.

Here’s a review excerpt from our friends at INtocados (translated by yours truly, with help from the internet):

“I think this second book is even better than Protected as it extends the Dark Cycle plot magnificently. The actions of our players do not go unnoticed by the authorities for long and leaders of the Free Cities and the palace intrigues are starting to have a stronger role…”

Warded Wednesday: Favorite Lines

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! One of the best things about The Demon Cycle are those little moments– The lines of dialogue or description that stick with you long after you’ve put the book down. These can be happy, sad, or just plain emotional. For example, one of my favorite lines is the very last one of Daylight War.

Yeah. That one.

For this week, we’re asking about those memorable moments:

What’s a line or short section in The Demon Cycle you find memorable and why?

We’re curious! If someone said it, who? Let us know what made you think of it. If one doesn’t pop into your head, feel free to look through a book for ideas. You can submit more than one. Also, please try to keep these relatively spoiler-free!!

The prize for this giveaway is a UK-edition Skull Throne paperback!

The Skull Throne is the latest book in the Demon Cycle series. If you’d like a copy signed by Peat himself, go ahead and enter.

Remember, we can only pick your comment if you respond to our post on the blog. We’re looking forward to your answers.

Giveaway answers will be accepted until Monday. The winner will be announced Tuesday.
