Warded Wednesday: On A Date Winner!

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! This week’s comments had me literally laughing out loud. Some of the date ideas were really cool. I can definitely say there are a few in here I’d love to be taken out on.

Once again, the winner was chosen randomly:

Date with Elona paper as she seems like a very experienced milf. As to what we would do well… I’m sure you can guess what we would do going by Elona’s insatiable appetite. -Sam

Haha, congratulations, Sam! We’ll be contacting you shortly about your prize.

Our next Warded Wednesday is TOMORROW. In the meantime, we’d like to give a shout-out to some other entries:

Who? Of course I would take Arlen on a date.
Why? Because he is my favorite character. What makes him so attractive is his passion to help people learn how to protect themselves and to be independent and to fight for their survival and their wishes.
What we would do? First, he can show me how to fight demons during the day and show me some important moves and tricks. Then I would love to learn more about his life before and after he became the warded man. I would also like to know how he imagines his future. Plus he could show me how to paint wards so I can protect my home. In the night we could show some demons the light. Then we would watch the sunrise as a ‘romantic end of the night’. -Rebecca

The main female characters are too crazy for my tastes, Inevera scares the everything out of me, I’ll probably hire a food taster to check my dinner. oh, and a ninja to watch my back.
My date would be Ashia, the only reasonable human being in Thesa. She is mentally stable, appears normal, but is atually very intriguing, and of course, if we get mugged I’ll hide behind her and smoke till she’s done. Won’t need the ‘Gone Fishing’ sign that I swiped.
I’ll cook her dinner, I think, then a walk by the river bank – well away from water demons – So much water would surely amaze any Krasian.
By the way, I just love her name. Its a beautiful variation on an already beautiful Arab name. -Khaled

I would take inevera on a date, from her description she sounds like she would take your breath away with her beauty. We would go scuba diving to show her a whole new way of looking at the world then I would ask her to cast the dice for me and get a glimpse of future possibilities, perhaps she may for tell greatness me. -Stinga

What, no Rojer or Jardir? Ah well, more for me 😉

Thanks so much to everyone who sent in their submissions! If you have any suggestions for future Warded Wednesday questions, feel free to leave them in the comments below.

Cosplay: Warded Warriors!

Posted by Karen

I love roleplay. Whether it’s your traditional D&D (3.5-esque Homebrew for me), GURPS, or a full-on LARP, it’s always a blast! A few months ago, we were contacted by Erik who showed off these fantastic LARP cosplays inspired by The Warded Man:

WardedWarriors

“Two warded warriors getting ready to say their prayers before being overrun by a zombie horde…”

This is seriously cool and the wards are done -perfectly-.

WardedWarriors2

I especially love this shot. Two warriors going off to fight, maybe to die in order to keep others safe. The lighting and atmosphere really sell it.

Thanks so much to Erik for letting us in on the awesomeness! Though the characters have been put to rest, we know their spirits will live on. You are all deliverers.

Warded Wednesday: On A Date!

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! Okay, last week’s Warded Wednesday was so much fun. Like I said, I’m a sucker for all those quizzy questions. It reminds me of that time I plugged Demon Cycle Fan Evan’s questions into a character personality quiz. So much fun.

Anyhow, it’s Wednesday again, so let’s get this party started!

Today we’re asking you to think about all the characters in The Demon Cycle in a slightly different way. Everyone knows that Gared has been a heart throb and Leesha has certainly broken a few hearts.

The week’s two-pronged question for the giveaway is:

Which character would you take on a date? What would you do?

Make sure you let us know why! We can’t wait for your answers.

Leesha Coplay Aleena 2

The prize for this giveaway is a Warded Man trade paperback!

This giveaway book was provided by our friends at Del Rey. The Warded Man is where everything begins. If you’d like a copy signed by Peat himself, go ahead and enter.

Remember, we can only pick your comment if you respond to our post on the blog. We’re looking forward to your answers.

Giveaway answers will be accepted until Monday. The winner will be announced Tuesday.
