Badali is a designer and manufacturer of officially licensed jewelry based on popular fantasy authors. They’ve been absolutely incredible in this process.

I can personally attest that they look even more stunning in person. Every pendant looks and feels amazing. We couldn’t be happier with the results!

Warded Wednesday Giveaway: Ask A Demon!

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! Feels good to be doing Warded Wednesdays again. Last week Karolina won a copy of Skull Throne with her lava demon entry. This time, we’re asking you to face the demons… and talk to them.

The question for this week’s giveaway is:

If you could add ask a coreling any question, what would it be?

Bonus points for telling us WHICH demon you’d ask. Winners will be chosen randomly, but try to be creative. Once again, if you want to see what demons there are, check out Peat’s Facebook grimoire. It contains the wards against each type of coreling.

New Demons: Winner!

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! A bunch of people sent in entries for this contest, way more than expected, which is -great-. It means that bringing back Warded Wednesdays was the right decision.

This week’s winning submission is being chosen right now by a random number generator and it is…

Lava demons! They could be a bit like small rock demons that set on fire everything they touch! -Karolina

Congratulations, Karolina! We’ll be in touch soon.

Like I said, there were a lot of cool and creative submissions that weren’t chosen. If you didn’t win this week, don’t worry. Our next Warded Wednesday is TOMORROW and it’s good one.

In the meantime, check out a few examples of what people sent in:

If I could add a demon into the Demon Cycle series, it would have to be a Shadow Demon. The only demon that could come out during the day, you’re only safe in the dark. – Hannah

How about a metal demon? One that is made from the metal ore in the ground. Very tough to kill, especially if it’s iron ore. Not too smart though.
They may also be made from found metal parts made by humans. So an old village might produce a bronze demon from old door knobs and handles.
Maybe even a combination of metals. -Tom

How about a lightning demon! I have also thought an ice demon that could manipulate between solid and liquid may be interesting. Last but not least a quicksand demon. -Beth

I like the thought of a necromancy demon. One that can bring both dead corelings and humans back to fight for it. Not only is it just plain awesome, imagine what the characters would feel, their friends killed only to come at them, and corelings that rise again and again no matter how many times you put a spear through them. -Ethan

Blood Demons,
Blood is the strongest bond.
Humans, animals and corelings have blood.
Blood demons can take any form what they want.
They can possess bodies of living beings of any type through just a simple scratch. A drop of blood is more than enough to possess people. Their true form resembles to a bloodfilled balloon.
Blood and guts can terrify people with strongest will. They can form their bodies like heroes who fallen in the wars against demons. Only their bloodfilled eyes can be seen as difference in human form. They are horrifying creatures of nie.
Protection against them? Maybe it exist but I think long forgotten. -Istvan

Fanart: Digital Twilight Dancer!

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! Do you ever see a piece of art that makes you go ‘asdfjkl;’? That’s how we felt for this digital painting of Twilight Dancer by Anna:

Leesha Coplay Aleena 2

Good gosh, it must have taken hours (days? weeks?). The armor is flawless, the horse’s anatomy is great, the wards are amazing, the demon looks like something out of my worst nightmares.

Thanks so much to Anna for creating this masterpiece. I can’t begin to describe how gorgeous it is. Seriously. There are no words. All I can say is that this Twilight Dancer is now one of my personal favorite pieces of Demon Cycle fanart.

Wow.
