Here’s what Peat said on Twitter about Luke’s entry:

Luke has done some spectacular demon art in the past, and this one is no exception. I love the armored look of it and the glowing eyes.

Skull Throne ARC Contest: Jardir & Inevera

Posted by Meg

Andreas, who entered the contest already with this stunning entry of a dama’ting in white, has submitted his second entry. Here’s what he had to say about his entry:

I did finally get around to create something that includes a naked guy as I had threatened. This is the scene in Skull Throne where Inevera decides she needs to win Jardir back and seduces him on his arrival at their quarters.

Wow! Such an intense scene to choose. The light and shadows are beautifully (and cleverly!) used. Thanks, Andreas, for entering again!

Skull Throne ARC Contest: Final Battle Arlen

Posted by Meg

In the final battle, Lucas predicts that Arlen will become even more powerful. Check out his beautiful interpretation of Arlen as the Warded Man.

Lucas - Arlen - Goes Full Bad Ass (1)

I love the colors and how Arlen is beginning to disappear into them. The wards are beautiful as well. Awesome job, Lucas!

Skull Throne ARC Contest: Drinking Song

Posted by Meg

The entries to the Skull Throne ARC Contest keep pouring in! Kat sends in her lyrics for a new drinking song to be introduced at every inn in Thesa.

Here’s what she says about her entry:

My humble entry – a song for jongleurs. Simple, repetitive, easy for beer drinking tavern crowds to sing along.

And the song:

The Warded Man

He left his home to face the night

He conquers darkness with his light

He scours the demons from our land

The Deliverer the Warded Man

He came to us from humble roots

But grew to fill a hero’s boots

He steeled his heart he trained his hand

To become the Warded Man

He sought out  knowledge old and lost

And with his blood he paid the cost

He learned the lore as he searched the land

To become the Warded Man

He journeyed long and traveled far

Til he came to the place of Sharak Ka

He joined the battle in the sand

To become the Warded Man

Side by side they cleansed the night

The only stranger allowed to fight

Friend of the King at his right hand

To become the Warded Man

And still he hunted far away

For secrets of an elder day

Til he returned ancient spear in hand

Discovered by the Warded Man

The spear clove dark with blazing light

The King claimed it as ancestral right

“I shall not give what you demand”

So said the Warded Man

The king in anger ambush laid

With evil friendship he repaid

And left him to die in the scorching sand

He betrayed the Warded Man

Each day he burned in the fearsome light

And fought the demons in the night

He marked his skin with his own hand

To become the Warded Man

And warded now in his entire

He fought the demons wood and fire

Air and rock fell to his hand

And the spear of the Warded man

With warded axe and scythe and hoe

He taught the folk of Cutter’s Hollow

To fight the dark and take a stand

At the side of the Warded Man

Now they gather in the night

Men and women to bravely fight

Gone from common folk to deadly band

All thanks to the Warded Man

He left his home to face the night

He conquers darkness with his light

He scours the demons from our land

The Deliverer the Warded Man

Love it! Thanks for entering, Kat. I can totally Gared singing this one with gusto.
