Mesmerizing Inevera Cosplay

Posted by Meg

Remember Hannah who had the awesome Renna cosplay a couple weeks back? Well, she went ahead and created her very own Inevera cosplay … and it’s amazing.

Here’s what Hannah had to say about cosplay and female characters in the Demon Cycle:

The Demon Cycle is stuffed with dynamic characters learning, growing, changing which is what truly makes the series so compelling; the human reaction to an existence-threatening species of evil. The characters Inevera and Renna are two of the most complex individuals I’ve had the pleasure of meeting (fiction or reality) and so since I can’t actually BE them, I may as well dress up and pretend to be for a few hours. My photographer suggested blue coloring for Inevera even though she’s usually depicted in red and I had the pants already from an awkward Halloween Party in college so I was on board. My favorite aspect of Inevera is her ability to manipulate fate and her ambition not only for herself but for those she loves; her “do whatever it takes” mentality. She has many faces, high priestess, queen, seducer, or jealous rival and one never truly knows what she has planned, but she has a plan, of that we can be sure.

Renna is more of an open book. Wild, quick-tempered, unruly and well wild. I identified more with her and her rag-tag appearance, since that is how I usually live my life. Not slaying demons in a cleavage-baring corset and ripped skirt, but being rag-tag in sweats. I wish we had more time to throw on more wards, but the sun was dipping kind of low so we did what we could. It was fun to try to get the crazed Renna looks I pictured to be etched on her maniacal face, but still have the softer “I’m Capable of Loving Despite the Demon Flesh Coursing in My Veins” expression. Renna is probably my favorite character in the series, I love the scene in the tavern when she gets fondled and attacks her molester. WOMAN POWER WOO!

Generation Hollow: Demon Cycle Re-read!

Posted by Meg

Hilarious as ever, the Youtube channel Generation Hollow re-reads the Demon Cycle for the first time as a sort of follow-up to the video he made about a year ago. Great video for first time readers or longtime fans of the series. He does a great job of describing the books with lots of excitement (and many f-bombs).

He also talks about how he would love the covers to come to life and play Arlen, Jardir and Inevera in the movies (that would be pretty cool).

Warded Cloak

How cool would it be to have a warded clothing line? Kristina would certainly be in charge of the cloaks! Check out this warded cloak she made for her son.
