Beautiful Arlen Bales Portrait

Posted by Meg

We’ve been seeing a lot of fan art lately. I absolutely love this one. Arlen as the warded man by Deviant Art user CaptainJonnypants.

Awesome job!

Blackwell’s Revisited: Photos and Reviews

Posted by Meg

A little over a week ago, Peat landed in London to commence his European adventures with the High Fantasy Night at Blackwell’s with authors Myke Cole (check out his review the event) and Joe Abercrombie. We posted a little update on Peat’s English travels last week, but now there are more photos and more reviews to share!

Voyager posted their review of the Blackwell’s event with this shining quote about Peat:

Peter Brett’s line, though, was massive and seemingly-endless. With anticipation riding high for Brett’s third novel, The Daylight War (published by Voyager in February 2013) and also the new hardcover edition of his two novellas The Great Bazaar & Brayan’s Gold (published in January 2013), it was heartening to see so many people eager to meet him and get their books signed. One fan came all the way from Germany just to meet him!

Looks like excitement for The Daylight War is running high in the U.K. You can read more here.

Some awesome candid shots of the evening were posted on Facebook by Jack Wiseall.

This is just a small sampling of all the awesome shots! You can check out the full album on Facebook here. And check out photos from Fantasy Faction’s Marc Aplin as well!

This Just In From Poland

Posted by Meg

Yesterday we posted some excellent Superfan pics from Peat’s travels in Poland, but what else has he been up to at Polcon?

Peat’s European travels are almost at an end, but don’t worry! There are more pictures and stories to come. Check back later this week for more!

Superfans of Pol Con

If you have been keeping up with Peat’s Twitter, then you will already be aware that Peat is having a grand old time in Poland as the author guest of honor at Pol Con. He just sent me a bunch of new pictures from his weekend.

I am going to start with the really exciting fandom that Peat has been encountering in Poland …

A packed room of 150 fans including Peat’s parents!

Literally mobbed for an impromptu signing

Superfans created Brett’s Army shirts complete with wards!

A huge thanks to all the fans at Pol Con. You guys are clearly awesome! More pictures to come this week, so check back soon!

Last Stop: Poland!

Posted by Meg

Peat’s been to London, Berlin … where is he now? Yesterday, at some ungodly hour of the morning, he tweeted:

Woke up not sure what country I was in. Turns out: Poland. If you are in Wroclaw, come see me at PolCon at 5pm. If in US, go back to bed.

And come see him they did! Over the past few months, I have been getting messages, emails and comments from Polish fans about how psyched they were to meet Peat, and I think this picture from a signing at Pol Con proves that level of excitement!

Can’t find Peat? Neither can we! But I promise, he is in there somewhere amongst all the Polish fans trying to get an autograph or handshake.

Peat will be at Pol Con all weekend. If you are in Poland, make sure to say hi! If not, we will have more updates on Peat’s travels on Monday morning. Until then, check Peat’s Twitter and Facebook page for realtime updates.
