Hey everyone! We recently got a review from the website Cinebook which is trés cool!

Cinebook is a site run by a group of friends who love all things nerdy and want to share it with you. They cover everything from The Matrix, to Harry Potter, to The Demon Cycle.

Cinebookmj, one of the reviewers on the site, took an in-depth look at the L’Homme Rune (the French translation of The Warded Man). In their review, they go over the characters, general plot, and a brief overlook of the rest of the books in the series.

For the universe, it is different and the same as others, but original in its tragedy: demons who go back from the center of the earth to haunt the night and magical runes to defend themselves. I really like the principle. Only Messengers venture to travel between hamlets and big cities. Trade is difficult and expensive. It creates an interesting and engaging atmosphere. The author manages to make us feel the stakes of this story and to get us into the skin of characters, man or woman.

I highly recommend this novel! Especially if you like fantasy. It’s a must.

This is so cool. The glow coming off Ahmann’s spear creates a fantastically eerie atmosphere, and those demons behind him are just -terrifying-. Really great work!

Hey everyone! I’m super stoked to show off the newest Demon Cycle tattoo we’ve seen.

This one comes to us from Anna Piotrowska. You might have trouble spotting her out in the wild because she’s got an unsight ward for protection. Check it out!

I love this so much. Not only are the lines of the ward spot-on, they’re also so stark and clean, you know they’re going to work for years to come.

I also love how Anna has a moon earring… symbolism for the Naked Night perhaps?

Hey everyone! A little while ago, I stumbled across a book review site called Steemit. A user named Stormlight24 put up a photo of the special black ARC copies Core, meaning they must have been lucky enough to get one.

They also put up a nice, little, review. 

What has left me as a final impression after reading books is the diversity of characters. They are authentic and different as they can be. Although many of them associate the same or similar goal, each one has a history and personal tragedy that burdens them and gives them many new dimensions. Each one of them found a way to put his scars in the past in the service of his struggle for the future.

Hey everyone! Peat’s Reddit AMA (Ask Me Anything) is happening TODAY. Click here to ask something!

Here’s how it’s going down…

If you’ve ever had someone you wanted to know about Barren, or The Demon Cycle in general (including plans for the future), just tune in and ask. Hope to see you there!

Peat’s AMA (Ask Me Anything) on Reddit will bestarting at 11am EST. u/PVBrett and ending when the questions run out or he passes out from exhaustion.

For those of you who haven’t not witnessed the exciting and hilarious world of AMAs, it’s basically an informally forum/interview space when anyone can participate and directly ask Peat a question! Or just leave a comment and read along.

Want to participate but don’t know how?

Here’s how it works:

1. Create a username on Reddit in order to ask Peat a question.

2. Visit the Peter V. Brett AMA live at 11am. Read the intro at the top and post your question (or questions) in the comments.

3. Reddit uses a pretty simple ‘upvote’ and ‘downvote’ system. See a question you want Peat to answer? Click the arrow to the upper left of the question to upvote it! Peat will answer the most popular questions first.

4. Please be considerate and hide any spoilers. Many of the people on the forum will want to talk about specific things that happened in the books, but there are a lot of folks who haven’t read all the books yet. There is a simple way to hide text that contains spoilers. [Put the spoiler text in brackets like this]and close it with the (/spoiler) tag. It should look like this: [The Warded Man is really Arlen Bales] (/spoiler)

The words are now hidden! When you roll your cursor over the section, your words will appear. There are detailed instructions at the top of the AMA page.

You can also just follow along with the ongoing discussion without making an account or asking questions. It’s up to you! Enjoy!
