Snow Ward Medallions Available

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! The stores are playing holiday songs, which means we can officially announce a new item in the Badali store– The Snow Ward pendant!

Badali just came out with gorgeous Demon Cycle Snow Ward™ Medallions and they are so beautiful. They’ve been development for awhile now, but the finished product has exceeded all expectations and completely blown us away.

From Peter V. Brett’s Demon Cycle series, comes the Snow Ward™ Medallion! With winter right around the corner, it might be time to consider adding the Snow Ward to your equipment list! Protect yourself from those pesky Snow Demons!

As we head towards the holidays, the nights are getting colder. While you may already have a water demon ward, that won’t do the job when water freezes and the snow demons attack…

Badali also has other great stuff! Their last new addition were the Demon Cycle Ward Circle™ Pendants, which are badass as well:

Whatever demon darken your doorstep, Badali has something to help. You can find the rest of the Demon Cycle jewelry line over at their website!

I’m partial to the pendants myself (I have the Unsight pendant) and the rings are just gorgeous. If you have a moment, check them out!

Barren is officially available for purchase! You can grab a copy right here!

Interviews: Paul Semel on BARREN

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! Peat recently did an exclusive interview with Paul Semel at Paulsemel.com.

This is a long and in-depth interview that really goes into where Peat’s head was when he was writing it. If you have any questions (before or after reading Barren yourself), this is the place to look!

For years, fantasy writer Peter V. Brett has expanded his Demon Cycle series with almost as many novellas as he has novels. In the following email interview, Brett discusses the latest of these shorter tales, Barren (paperback, Kindle).

One of my favorite questions is this one:

Where did the idea for Barren come from and how different is the finished novella from that original idea?

Selia was one of the very first characters I created; she is introduced on page two of chapter 1 in The Warded Man. An older widow organizing the rescue and salvage of a town borough massacred by a demon attack.

We learn the Brook folk refer to her as “Selia The Barren” — though never to her face — because her marriage failed to produce children. The term began as a mark of shame in a world where demons have hunted humanity nearly to extinction, but Selia has turned it into a term of respect. She has made the whole town her children, and folk are glad she’s around in times of trouble.

But I knew, even then, that Selia wasn’t really barren. I was just waiting for the right time to tell her story.

And that time is now! As of now, Barren is officially available to purchase You can grab a copy right here!

Thanks so much to Paul for putting together these questions and interweaving the interview so nicely. You can read the interview in full at his official website!

Fanart: Warded Knuckles Tattoo Set

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! Today I’m excited to show off something we’ve been holding onto for awhile now.

Jay Davis sent in these pics of his tattoos and they are -awesome-. We’ve had hand tattoos before, but the lines of these are so crisp– like they’re practically jumping off the skin. Check it out:

Hi love the demon cycle series ? had to get some wards tattooed

So frikken cool! And the other hand is just as good:

I also love how they’re placed on the fingers like this– it means that every punch will be effective against demons.

Barren is officially available for purchase! You can grab a copy right here!
