Hey everyone! We’ve got an official cover for the Polish version of Barren.
Dziedzictwo Poslanca (aka Legacy of the Messenger) will include Barren, Messenger’s Legacy, and Peat’s short story Holiday in Tibbet’s Brook:
This novella collection comes out on August 22! That means that Polish fans will be able to read Barren even before it’s officially available in English. You can preorder it now.

Hey everyone! Cosplay alert!
Last weekend, Worldbuilders spotted a Demon Cycle cosplayer running around Gencon:
We saw a Warded Woman Peter V. Brett’s Demon Cycle!! She is WAY safe(r) from pesky corelings! She said we missed yesterday’s whole costume (which was epic, she showed us photos), but at least she still has protection.
Thanks so much to Worldbuilders for catching a fan in the wild! Would have loved to see the whole cosplay (next time).

Hey everyone! Barren is Peat’s newest novella comes out soon and there are a bunch of ways to get in on it.
September 25th, Harper Voyager is putting out paperback copies that you can pre-order now so you don’t have to wait.
They’re also teaming up with Goldsboro Books to release out a limited number of first-run hardcover editions on September 27th. These will be signed/numbered. You can pre-order them from Goldsboro’s official website.
If you’re looking for a slightly different version (cover-wise), Subterranean Press is also putting out a limited run of beautiful Barren novellas. These will also be signed and feature original cover art from Lauren K. Cannon:
Whichever version you prefer, what’s most important is on the inside. Barren features the story of Selia Barren in Tibbets Brook. I’ve read all of Peat’s novellas, but this is my favorite one yet.
