Fantasy Book Club, DRIN, and RT

JJonahBrett_WebJust a quick post about some cool things going on:

The Fantasy Book Club on Goodreads has chosen The Warded Man as their book of the month for May, and has opened a series of discussion threads, including one for author questions which I will be visiting and answering regularly throughout the month. If you’re interested, check it out. Goodreads is a great social networking site for book lovers. I am a member and regular user myself.

Also, I am featured in several places in this month’s Del Rey Internet Newsletter (DRIN), including an interview I did with Del Rey editor David Pomerico about The Desert Spear, and write-ups of both books.

Last up, I forget if I linked to this already, but I did a guest post recently for RT (Romantic Times) Book Reviews about writing as communication. Might be worth a read if you’re bored at work and tired of facebook.

  1. Goodreads is amazing! By far the best personal library tool available!

The community is great, a collection of people who deeply care about books and offer honest opinions and reviews. I cannot find anything better to suite all my book hunger needs!

The social aspect of the site is just so-so however. Honestly though I think that’s okay, it’s more about the books than “friends” on there anyway. Speaking of, I am actually friends with you Peter on there, but I’m still deciding if that means more of less than a facebook friend. Lol

  2. Hey man just stopped by to say WOW. I was combing the fantasy section of my neighborhood bookstore and came across The Warded Man. I was intruiged, I read the back flipped through the first couple pages and ordered the audio version on Itunes. I was entranced. I stayed up all night listening to your words wrapped up in the story. It is a great book I loved it so much I ran out and bought th desert spear ( I was so relieved that it was out I was dreading a long wait till my next dose of Arlen and his world) I just finshed it and I gotta say sir you did not dissapoint. A truly fantastic read. Just stopped by to sing your praises keep up the good work.
