Awesome Book Cover Friday

Posted by Meg

Misprinted Pages gave The Warded Man the honor of having the title of “Awesome Book Cover” on May 4th. Check out the write-up and other excellent international covers for The Warded Man here.

Also, check out the rave reviews from these fantasy book blogs!

Gilden’s Getway gives The Warded Man 4/5 stars and has a nice write-up focusing on twisting fantasy troupes and dark fantasy.

Kate of Mind has a great review up for The Desert Spear.  Citing The Warded Man as her “cautious return to epic fantasy”, Kate goes on to discuss the characters, setting and plot of The Desert Spear.

Chest Full of Reviews gives The Warded Man 7/10 stars and talks about the characters in-depth while touching upon Peat’s writing style in his debut book.

Speculating on SpecFic says that The Painted Man has her hooked for the The Desert Spear and The Daylight War, set to come out February 4, 2013 in the U.S. and U.K.

Best Fantasy Books Blog has short but effective write-up for The Painted Man, complete with detailed plot descriptions of each of the main characters.

And finally, not a review, but a contemplation of sorts: No. Do Better. on Joseph L. Selby’s blog. Read your one of your favorite books (in this case, Peat’s The Warded Man) and pay close attention to dialogue, description and character. What is the author doing that you like?
