Warded Awesomeness

The very last entry to the Warding Contest is Jesse’s amazing two entries perfect for fighting demons of any size. The first is a warded bow and arrow set complete with protective armor. Perfect for taking down demons from a distance. Here’s Jesse’s description of how she made the bow and arrow:

The armor and arrow head are made from craft foam. You use heat to warp it (And try not to burn yourself, or your begrudging model). Then you use glue and mod podge to stiffen it. The wards are made with puffy fabric paint, lots and lots of it. I used three bottles on that armor. Once all of that is dry you apply liberal amounts of paint (While swearing, or crying, or both, because  the paint never wants to fully cover), and finally you paint on some shadows and highlights (then wipe off the shadows and highlights and add more), so it photographs better.

The bow itself was sculpted out of foam, then covered in wood veneer and sanded smooth, so it has no actual draw strength, for cosplay purposes.

Second entry is for those pests around the house, namely corelings disguised as adorable kitty-cats. Could be dangerous …

Fantastic job, Jesse. I need one of those spray bottles for my house. The Warding Contest is closed! The entries are in! Sit tight … we will be announcing the winner soon!
