Hey everyone! Peat and I recently had a chat about (read as: gushed over) all the incredible entries we’ve gotten. Winners are still up in the air, but we’ve definitely been thinking about it…
For now, there are still some entries that have yet to be put up! Check out this next batch of submissions for the Still Life Contest.
Birte Widmann had couple of gorgeous entries. You might recognize the name from her entry to the Daylight War ARC Contest, the phenomenal soundtrack she created for The Desert Spear, just to name a few.
First up, Birte sent in this gorgeous still life including two warded necklaces, a warded dagger, and a warded notebook:
I love this. The layout is gorgeous, and the wards look so great!!

Hey everyone! Ready for our next couple of entries from the Still Life Contest? I know I am!
Starting us off is this lovely entry Natascha:
Very nice. Like I said, I always love bookshelf shots. It’s like getting a glimpse into someone else’s mindset, which I find extremely interesting.
Next is Sarah Lockwood, who you might remember as the Critiquing Chemist. You might recognize the name from the whole slew of blog posts I did about those reviews. Sarah sent in this… very intriguing shot:

A nice little bit of The Desert Spear along with some of the swag that comes with it from Darkside.
I love the colors in this shot. Those deep, rich, purples are especially lovely.
This picture is really nice. I like that it shows off just a hint of those beautiful wards Darkside put on the inside cover of the books. Utterly gorgeous.
Gorgeous shot. I love the cameo from the Darkside skull logo, it’s very appropriate. Chomp!

Hey everyone! Marcelly Nascimento sent several submissions for the Still Life Contest. You might recognize the name from the O Protegido Ward Contest we had back in 2015.
There’s a bunch of awesome stuff from Marcelly, so we’re going to break the entries up. Part two will be going up tomorrow.
A palm warded in honor of the Deliverer. Always a classic, always very, very cool.
I’m not going to lie, Darkside’s versions of The Demon Cycle books are just incredible. Plus they give out tattoos and bookmarks and all sorts of swag. Absolutely gorgeous.
The backdrop for this shot (and the one before) are just lovely. I really like the play between light and shadows.
This is a gorgeous shot. Again, I really love Darkside’s publication of The Demon Cycle. They really did an amazing job.

A couple of photos of Iron Man and his best friend R2-D2 looking very interested in The Daylight War.
I love the colors and humor in these shots. Plus it has The Warded Man meets Iron Man, which is a teamup that needs to happen. Seriously. I would pay big money to see that crossover.
