Warding For Treasure WINNERS!

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! After much deliberation, we’ve settled on the winners for the Warding For Treasure contest.

First prize is the warded-heart tattoo from Matt. In terms of warding something precious, this really takes the cake. Plus it’s is one of the coolest Demon Cycle tattoos I’ve ever seen:

Second prize is the warded shotglass by Amber! Since she decided to give it a flame ward, we decided the flame-ward pendant should be her prize. Congrats, Amber:

Our other second prize winner is the warded palm statue send in by Fred. This is a super cool statue to keep around the house for protection! He’ll be receiving the water ward pendant:

Third place was our very first entry! Iris’ warded journal makes this the most protected journal ever. The prize for third place is a lucky Klat! Definitely well-deserved:

Recent Goodreads Reviews (Warded Man)

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! So I was mucking around the other day and happened to start reading Goodreads reviews of The Demon Cycle (spoiler alert: there are a lot of them). Peat’s fans have said some pretty sweet things, so I thought I’d share some of them here.

First up are some five-star Goodreads reviews of the Warded Man:

I was swept along by this story from the very beginning. Generally speaking, it’s a fairly standard fantasy story: terrible thing happens to normal boy; normal boy leaves for adventure; learns secrets; fights the bad guys, etc. But it’s well-written, engaging, with interesting characters and some cool world building. You finish this book feeling like you’ve only just skimmed the surface and that there’s a whole lot more to explore and discover. There were a few moments I took a bit of an issue with, but on the whole it’s an exhilarating yet well-paced story with original characters and an intriguing world. Can’t wait to read book 2! -Sarah

brb Ordering the sequel on Amazon so it’s waiting for me when I get home because it’s THAT GOOD. -Kristi

Leitura SENSACIONAL!!!! -Ana

Best book I’ve read in ages… totally a binge read, couldn’t put it down. -Gerry

I loved this book. I was just browsing around looking for something to read and found this gem of a book. Definitely one of my favourites of the year, I’m trying to space the books out because I want to savour them all but if the rest of the series is anything like The Wared Man then this may become one of my favourite series. -Sean

This book captured my attention right from the start. Arlen’s decent into the Warded Man was intriguing and interesting to read. Loved the characters very much. The world building is great, making you feel like you are actually out in the hamlets and cities. Am about to read the next one in the series, Desert Spear. Go and read it if you haven’t already. -Tarran

These reviews make me so frikken happy. I really enjoy picking through them, so I think I’ll be doing posts for Goodreads reviews on the rest of the series soon. If you want a chance at having your review featured in a post, maybe consider leaving some kind words on there.

In other news, winners of the Warding For Treasure Contest HAVE BEEN CHOSEN! We’ll get in touch and post the results soon.

Warded Head

Hey everyone! A Polish fan recently warded their head and took a picture. I’m especially impressed with those ones on top of the skull. That must have taken some mad skills to get it on there, so check it out:

Hey everyone! Anna Zakrzewska recently got this awesome mind-ward tattoo, and it’s super cool. The faceted effect on the ward itself makes it look like hammered metal, and the black shading effect really makes it pop!
