Hey everyone! Our latest entry was sent in by Kaede-Leesha, cosplaying her namesake like a boss. Cue adorableness in three, two, one…
D’awwwwwww!
Oh gosh, my poor heart. Absolutely wonderful cosplay! I particularly love the accessories. The pouch-and-basket combo are a must for any herb-gatherer and that hora wand is spot on!
The Skull Throne Paperback Contest ends TOMORROW, so if you’re working on a submission, that’s your deadline! All entries must be sent to contest@www.petervbrett.com by January 26th.

Hey everyone! Peat’s UK Publisher has created some lovely teaser-quote pictures over the last few months, so I’ve decided to share them here!
For anyone who’s read all of Peat’s work, this part seems like a lifetime ago! Nice choice, Haper Voyager. Here are a couple more:
I especially love that last one with the smoke and wards, but they’re all gorgeous. At the time this post goes up, Haper Voyager’s Twitter header is Rojer from the UK Skull Throne. Paperbacks of Skull Throne will officially be on sale next week!
On to contests!
We’ve got a couple of contests and giveaways going on right now. You can enter to win one of 50 free copies of The Painted Man by answering one ridiculously question. Or, if selfies are more your shtick, Peat is currently hosting a Book Selfie Contest on Twitter. The prizes are limited, but if you snap a picture real quick and tag him, you just might win.
Speaking of paperbacks, our Skull Throne Paperback Contest is still on! Submissions should be sent to contest@www.petervbrett.com by January 26th.
You can pre-order the UK version of The Skull Thronehere!

Hey everyone! Our latest entry for the Skull Throne Paperback Contest is from long-time fan Róbert. You might remember his work with the epic Demon Cycle charactercreations in Skyrim as well as general awesomeness and geekery.
I would like to submit my entry for the Skull Throne Paperback contest. It is a drawing inspired by the demon dissection scene from The Desert Spear, and also by “The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp” by Rembrandt. I’ve started working on it sometime in last October, and the current contest really helped me in finishing the picture.
This is both disgusting and fascinating. I love it. My favorite part is definitely the demon, I mean, c’mon, just look at that thing! It’s obviously dead and I’m still getting the willies.
I also adore Rojer’s motley. Because jongleurs are actually the coolest.
Thanks so much to Róbert for sending this in! Róbert isn’t just a creative fan, he’s also a badass gamer. If you’re into that sort of thing, maybe think about checking out his Twitter and Youtube.
Remember the Skull Throne Paperback Contest ends on the 26th. If you’d like to enter and get your own art featured in on the blog, you must send your submission to contest@www.petervbrett.com.
Hey everyone! Is it just me or have we been getting a lot of reviews since the new year started? Maybe it’s all that holiday reading finally showing itself. Hope it keeps up!
Our friends at GeekLife recently came out with a review for the Polish version of The Daylight War (Wojna w Blasku Dnia). The publisher put out this translation in two parts, the first on April 12, 2013 the second on June 19, 2013.
Spoilers abound in this one, but if you don’t mind then go ahead and check it out. There’s also a few sneak-peeks at how the Polish version’s illustrations look on a classic ebook:
In a word: Awesome. All the kickass images in Wojna w Blasku Dnia Ksiega were done by Dominik Broniek. The cover was by our beloved cover artist Larry Rostant.
Adam also did a review for the Polish version of Desert Spear (Pustynna Wlócznia) a while back. You can find that review here!
Reminder: There’s still time to submit to the Skull Throne Paperback Contest. All entries must be sent to contest@www.petervbrett.com by January 26th.
You can get Wojna w Blasku Dnia Ksiega Part I here and Part 2 here!
Hey everyone! Our newest video review comes from Linilim at SensCritique. I’m particularly excited for this one because I get to put my rusty French to use. I knew it would be useful eventually!
This is a clever review from a clever reviewer. I love the concise witty format and it’s obvious a lot of work was put in. Plus it’s the first time I’ve heard Peat’s books compared to Pokemon. So that’s cool.
I’m impressed how much material she managed to cover in less than five minutes. If you want to check out more of Linilim’s reviews, you can head over to her video list.
We’ve had some great entries for the Skull Throne Paperback Contest, and it’s still going strong! Submissions should be sent to contest@www.petervbrett.com. This contest ends January 26th.
You can get l’Homme Rune from Bragelonne Publishing here!
