During our recent fanmail clean-out, we found a lot of really wonderful pieces of fanmail and thought we’d share a few. Some of these are old, others more recent, but they’re all fantastic. Check them out!
Thank you for all the heart attacks and goosebumps you’ve given me over the last few years! You’re a great writer – can’t wait to read more. -Annika
I don’t want to bother but i really like to read your books i just finally got daylight war and have to say thank you so much for this incredible story. God bless you and your family with lots of happiness. -Nikola
As far as I am concerned the characters you have created and the depth to them is unparalleled. -Philip
Hey Peter, I wanted to take a second to say “thanks” for being such an awesome writer. I understand that a lot of blood sweat and tears go into doing what you do. I finished the daylight war about a year ago as the last book in the series (at the time). Then, I just recently found out about the skull throne and I look forward to my lunch breaks again. -Jason

Hey everyone! Okay, so here’s the scoop:
Over the last few weeks we’ve been doing a massive fanmail clean-out. This includes holding our breath and diving into achieves more than five years old.
And wow. There’s a lot of material to sludge through.
Along with general organization, we’re trying to get back to people whose questions and comments have fallen through the cracks. These are the ones that, for some reason or another, were put to one side and never answered.
Now if there’s something more than a few months old or otherwise out-of-date, we probably won’t reply. There’s just to much and we need to press forward instead of looking back.
But, for anyone who has put their voice out and only gotten silence, don’t worry. You were heard.
When I tell you that Peat reads every message he receives, I mean it. I’ve seen Peat go through Facebook, Goodreads, emails, and every comment on the blog. He keeps an eye on giveaway/contest entries and files away every hand-written letter.
Peat appreciates your messages more than you know. We hope you keep sending them.
We’ll also be putting up some posts on the blog to highlight some of the nicer fanmail Peat has been receiving.

Hey everyone! After his trip to Scotland, Peat posted a picture of himself on Twitter. Traipsing through unfamiliar territory, Peat thought he was safe in the stunning woods of Glencoe.

Peat was not safe. Rest in peace, Peat.

Just kidding.
After kicking the woodie’s butt, Peat wrestled a bear, drank four men under the table, worked on The Core, and went to bed. Just an average day for the author of The Demon Cycle.
Thanks so much to Peter Shepherd for this amazing photo manipulation. You can check out Peter’s Twitter here!
Our Demon Cycle Pumpkin Contest runs until October 31. Send your pictures of your warded/altered pumpkins to contest@www.petervbrett.com.

Hey everyone! About six months ago, a fan from Switzerland tattooed himself against mind demons, but we’re just hearing about it now! After taking a look, we couldn’t resist following up to get the full story.
Stopping into the tattoo shop Hannya, located in Brussels, Darius got ready for his ink. I’d be terrified by this point, but he doesn’t look concerned at all! Yeah.. corelings had better watch out for this one.

Partway done and the outline looks amazing.

Filled in, it’s even cooler! Many kudos to the artist and to Darius for staying strong during the process!

A few months later and the tattoo is still incredibly badass, perfect for drop-kicking a pesky mind demons in the head.

Thanks so much for sharing this with us, Darius!
The Myke Cole Contest ends TODAY. If you haven’t sent in an entry, this is your last chance to do so! Submissions should be emailed to contest@www.petervbrett.com.
