We got a lot of entries for The Drabble Contest (now closed). With so many great ones, we can’t help but show them off!

Joy Cronje gave us some context for her entry:

Here’s my entry for the Great Bazaar Drabble Contest, based on the imagined clay demon massacre of the khaffit village Baha kad’Everam.

Joy’s chilling drabble isn’t for the weak of heart.

Scared is right! This one got me locking (and warding) my door up tight. Can’t be too careful, especially when demons are involved!

David Ashton uses exactly 100 words for his confrontational drabble:

Great interaction between characters, David. The dialect fits this one really well!

Cassandra Taylor’s shows how dangerous pretending can be:

This brings an end to The Drabble Contest and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results! There was an amazing turnout– From frightening to funny, and everything in between! Who knew we had so many talented writers?

Thank you all for sending in you drabbles. We’ll be putting up the remaining entries soon, so look out for them!

Starting off with a blast through time! Eric Hallis gives his take on what demon-fighting might look like 300 years in the future:

Destin Lee introduces us to a Khaffit who is much more than he seems:

The atmosphere of this one is spot on! Feels like a legend being born.

Lew Andrada describes a frigid encounter with an old friend:

The Great Bazaar drabble contest is still going strong! We’ve gotten some truly incredible entries. Just see for yourself!

Zelei Robert touches the animal-lover in us:

Really powerful piece, Zelei! As a dog-owner, I understand the worry and fear. Hopefully Twig makes it back before dark…

Justin Crosby’s drabble also features an animal, but its ending may surprise you!

Love the voice and dialect in this one. It definitely adds something unique and interesting to your drabble. I wouldn’t want to mess with that cat!

Andrew Turnwall shows off his awesome writing skills by sending in not one, but two drabbles!

These entries gave me shivers! So original, so awesome. I love when people grab the prompt and use it in a new way. Great job, Andrew!

Just a few days into The Great Bazaar Drabble Contest and already we’ve got some delightfully bone-chilling entries! We’ve put the drabbles onto a template designed by the talented Chris Leathart. Keep the lights on while you check them out!

Daniel Hegar recounts a close encounter of the demon kind:

Who do you think was more afraid? The hunter or the demon? Either way, the rich and eerie details really bring this drabble to life. I’m going to have nightmares and it’s completely worth it. Great job, Dan!

Eric Gower marks the arrival of demons with a confrontation between friends:

Didn’t see that one coming! Such a great entry from Eric- exciting from beginning to end. I can’t believe so much happened in 100 words!
