Curtis enters the contest with a fantastic cover! Here’s what he has to say about his entry:
I was originally going in a completely different direction with an actual skull throne that I designed a long time ago. But the more I tweaked the Mind Demon skull the more I liked it. I wanted to create a sense of tension between three possible principles, Jardir, Arlen, and the Mind Demon as well as conflict surrounding what the Skull Throne might refer to…and whether it is above or below ground.

There is so much I love about this cover. The demon skull is … terrifying. Arlen and Jardir’s faces in the background are so realistic and full of emotion. Fantastic job, Curtis! Thanks for entering!
The contest is over, but we still have entries to share! You can see them all on Facebook and Pinterest!

Nicholas sent us his entry … featuring a mind demon! Here’s what he has to say:
This is my submission for the Create Your Own Skull Throne Cover contest. It is my representation of a mind demon that will send Arlen and Jardir to the core.

This cover is scary and awesome all at once. The dark colors give it an ominous feel. Wonderful job, Nicholas!

Check out this awesome new contest entry. Danielle, who has done some wonderful work in past contests, shows us her prediction for what happens next in the Demon Cycle with this hand-painted Skull Throne cover.
I imagine that in this book there will be an epic battle with the Queen so that is her lurking below just waiting for the sun to dip below the horizon. The victor of the long fall waits above. This is painted on a canvas with acrylic paint.

This is a beautifully painted cover with such a great story behind it. I like that we don’t know who is the victor. Either way, the queen lurks below, preparing to strike. Fantastic work, Danielle!
