New French Paperback Cover

Posted by Meg

Bragelonne, the French publisher for The Warded Man and The Desert Spear, just released a brand new cover for the paperback version of L’Homme Rune also known as The Warded Man. Check it out!

In other news from France, Nathalie, a friend of the production desginer at Bragelonne, had the idea to make a warded knitting pattern … as a coffee cozy!

Forum Fan Art

Posted by Meg

In preparation for the Fan Art Contest, Peat sent me a vast treasure trove of fan art that’s come in over the last few months. Way too much for him to post while trying to keep up with The Daylight War, so it falls to me to share these fantastic pieces with you. The following were submitted through the Forum, and they are not contest entires. A lot of nifty stuff goes on over there. So go on and join the conversation.

These two beautiful maps, done by Marken, detailing the land of Thesa. Amazing work! Marken is also behind the incredible project of the Thesan Wiki. I would definitely recommend checking it out.

Below (and the fiery one at the top of the post) are beautifully rendered warded art by Morgrad. I am blown away by the detail and the amount of work that must have gone into these projects.

I am very much inspired by these two awesome artists. I am hoping they’ve inspired you guys too. Don’t forget to submit your own fan art to our latest contest by 11:59pm on December 31, 2011. For more details, check out the rules here.

Deviants

With the fan art contest going on right now, we thought we would post some more of our past favorites. Note that these are not fan art contest entries. Submissions are starting to roll in for the fan art contest, and we wil be posting them soon.

A great place to upload and enjoy new fan art is on Deviant Art where anybody can make an account, upload their favorite pieces, and scroll through galleries upon galleries of fan art.

We especially like the art inspired by The Demon Cycle Series. There’s a lot of it, and we wanted to share.
