Poland Tour Recap

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! Back in May, Peat traveled across the pond to say hello to his fans in Germany. This was an incredible tour, with three days jammed-packed with readings and Q&As. By the end, he was exhausted, but it was totally worth it. Here’s how it went down…

First up was Berlin with our long-time friends at the Otherland Bookstore Peat was ecstatic with the turnout:

First, Peat got down to business signing a books for Swiat Ksi?zki in Warsaw:

These are gorgeous. If you head over to Empik bookstore’s official website, you can get Part 1 and Part 2 of The Core right now!

Afterwards, Peat got a well-earned break to walk around Warsaw and take in the sights:

Next up was Krakow, with its amazing architecture and culture…

And delicious obwarzanek.

Then, after a quick stop in Wroclaw, it was off to Pyrkon in Poznan. Peat had panels:

Demon Cycle fans had to brave the display of Alagai Ka in order to get their books signed:

It was an amazing trip. For a deeper look on Peat’s trip to Poland, check out this INCREDIBLE full photo journal created by the talented people at his publisher, Fabryka Slow.

We’re so grateful to Empik and Pyrkon for inviting Peat to come. We couldn’t have set this up without the help of all the lovely people who pitched in to coordinate. You really made this trip special and Peat had a fantastic time!!

Also, a huge thank you to everyone who came to Peat’s readings and panels. Demon cycle fans are the best fans.

Over the next little while, we’ll be showing off some lovely fanart/cosplay that Peat got to see during his tour, so stay tuned for it!

The Core US mmpb releases this summer, on July 31. Right now, you can get the Hardcover version here and the Kindle version here!

Fanart: Demon Cycle Chainmail

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! Yesterday’s post celebrated the 10-year anniversary of the French translation of The Core (L’Homme Rune).

Today we’re excited to show off a piece of fanart that was inspired by the original cover. @abookish wolf created an elaborate piece of chainmail inlay that features the iconic scene of Arlen facing off against One Arm.

Seriously. Take a look:

This is definitely one of the more awesome, and intense, pieces of art I’ve seen over the years. More that 10,000 links went into making the image and the crafting is just breathtaking. I’m speechless. What an amazing piece of art from an amazing artist.

You can get the 10-year anniversary edition of L’Homme Rune here!

Warded Man, French Edition: 10 Year Anniversary!

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! As of July 2nd, it’s been 10 years since The Warded Man came out in France as L’Homme Rune. This is an incredible benchmark and Peter’s wonderful publisher Bragelonne has marked the occasion with a special edition cover! Check it out!

The original cover was created by the creative artist Miguel Coimbr, and that version is still available as well:

Miguel Coimbr also did the art for the French version of The Core! Le Coeur will be released on August 16th, but you can pre-order your copy right now!

Who knows? Maybe 10 years from August we’ll be celebrating with a special-edition cover for Le Coeur as well.

You can get your 10-year anniversary edition of L’Homme Rune here!

Fanart: Beautiful Amanvah Portrait

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! To all Peat’s American fans, Happy July 4th! Have fun and please be safe. To the rest of the world, have a great Wednesday XD

Now that that’s out of the way– While our Barren ARC Contest was going on, we got in some non-contest fanart.

Jess aka on Twitter has been on fire lately with their amazing art, bringing new content all the time! You might remember the post I did a little while ago on their couple-fanart featuring Arlen/Renna and Inevera/Jardir. Now let’s check out their latest stuff!

This swoon-worthy Amanvah has the most beautifully expressive eyes:

I have a new tablet. Life is improving once more. I sketched a sketch. I’m not sure who I intended it to be. Maybe Amanvah?

Gorgeous and deadly.

Jess drew this Rojer with her fiNGER ON A PHONE. What??

I may have no iPad due to unfortunate circumstances, but apparently drawing with my finger on my phone works if I’m patient?

I’d say it works! Dang!!

Another piece of Rojer fanart which honestly speaks for itself:

Maybe I’ll colour this at some point, but for now have a happy Rojer Inn with his fiddle and his motley

This is so gorgeous!! I love his expression and flyaway hair and motley. What an amazing piece!

To check out more of Jess’ work, head over to her Twitter!
