Poland Tour: Demon Cycle Shirts!

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! Some of the fanart Peat saw in Poland came in the form of really awesome shirts. Let’s take a look at some!

First off is Tomasz Rawinski’s. shirt which features Alagai Ka on the front and a set of all Peat’s books on the back:

Alycja modeled this gorgeous warded shirt:

Dominika handmade this shirt. On the front it says ‘Draw Wards and Kill Demons’, which are words to live by. The back of the shirt says I’m Damajah… then, in smaller letters, ‘Just kidding, I’m Alagai’ting’.

These next shirts are some of my personal favorites:

The adult shirts read ‘Every single night I fight a coreling’ and the baby’s reads ‘Coreline before naptime’. This is so adorable, I can’t even.

Anka Walkowiak came in with this warded shirt!

She also did some cosplay, which we’ll be showing off soon!

Finally, we’ve got a final Demon Cycle shirt, complete with an impeccable ward circle:

Very, very, cool.

The Core US mmpb releases this summer, on July 31. Right now, you can get the Hardcover version here and the Kindle version here!

Poland Fan Art: Badass Ladies

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! Today we’ve got more fanart from Peat’s Poland tour that I’m super excited to show off. Let’s do this!

First up is this gorgeous watercolored Kashia and baby Kaji inside a mind demon. This was given to Peat by Marzena ?yla-Hoppe in person:

Watercolors are -hard-! I’m amazed by how clean the silhouette is, and all those smaller lines for the trees inside. This is a really lovely piece.

Next is Malgorzata Mitmanska with her powerful dice-reading Inevera portrait:

I wonder what the future holds…

Next is an incredible pencil drawing of demons from Olga!

Olga came to get it signed by Peat himself! I highly recommend clicking on the picture in order to get the full scale of it.

That’s all for now! There’s still some art though, so we’ll be showing that off in the week to come!

You can Pre-Order Barren here.

Poland Tour Fanart

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! While Peat was on tour in Poland, he got a bunch of fanart from talented fans. Here’s the first few from Kasia Smalara:

First up is Alagai Ka in his shackles:

This is so amazing and terrifying. It’s clear how much thought went into the layout of this piece, with the chains wrapped on either side. Very cool.

Next is Jardir equipped with the spear and crown of Kaji:

He definitely looks ready for a fight.

If the name Kasia sounds familiar, it’s because she has been an awesome Demon Cycle fan for awhile now! Last year she entered the Demon Cycle Warding Mini-Contest with a warded bike helmet to protect her from harm. Back in 2015, she created a video that won a Skull Throne ARC!

Basically, Kasia is awesome. We’re so lucky to be able to see such amazing artistic skills and badassery.

There are three grand prize winners who will win signed ARCs of Barren. In no particularly order, they are…

Gary with his warded knife:

Our second winning entry is a collaboration entry by Jolie and Brechy who teamed up to create this collection of picture, dice, and grimoire:

The final grand prize winner is Amberly smith who stole our hearts with this beautiful warded globe:

Thanks so much to everyone who’s entered! We’ll be sending out emails soon. Even if you didn’t win, we’re happy to send you a signed and customized bookplate 🙂

There was so much time and energy put into all these entries– Peat actually had to add another grand prize, and even then, it doesn’t seem like enough. You can head over to the Barren ARC Contest Facebook album to browse all the art we got.

You can Pre-Order Barren here.
