I started getting a bunch of hits on my website from YouTube, so I tracked them back and found this:

  1. Mmm it will get really crazy when the fan art and fanfics start coming as well as videos with home made scenes from the book and comic series done by fans for the book. Hm…I should get working on that. 😉
Congrats on your way to YouTube stardom.
Yup…it’s going to be kick ass…and this is the beginning.

  6. Umm, hi I guess. This aint usually my cup of tea (posting on an authors bloggy website thingy) but I felt the need to today. I saw that video in a BUrger King right next door to Waterstones in Edinburgh yesterday (free WiFi in Burger King, don’t knock it!). So I decided “Hey, sounds good!” (No, I don’t usually buy stuff advertised in an imageless random YouTube video) So I got it. I’ve haven’t put it down since (It’s actually gripped in my teeth as I type this stupidly long post) So, umm, thanks for the book I guess! Looking forward to the next! Bai!

  8. And don’t forget to come to the signing today! Oh, wait. . .Edinburgh’s in Scotland, right?

Bah. It’s only 400 miles give or take. If you leave right now you can make it. I’m wearing my best blue sweater.

  9. Hey, just wanted to say it was nice meeting all of you today at Forbidden Planet and that I’ll definitely be coming here often to check for updates! Also Myke could you please remind me on what the title of the book written by Davidson that you recommended to me today? Thanks!

  10. Goodness I’m bowled over, if I’d known you’d actually find and READ the damn thing I would’ve made it better!!! (And longer. It isn’t long enough, I think).

  11. Nonsense, it was amazing and unexpected just as it was. Thanks for doing it, and thanks for coming to the signing! Lovely to meet you.

  12. Brian, Can’t remember recommending a Davidson book, but feel free to email me (link is in my name) and we can kick book recommendations back and forth.

    Thanks for coming out!

  13. More posts are coming on the Paris tour and book signings, but my hotel internet sucks and keeps cutting out, so I can’t upload all the pix and access wordpress. I promise to have it all up soon!

Thanks to everyone that came to my first ever public signing! I was terrified I would be sitting all alone, and instead I was signing the whole time. Amazing.

  14. Seriously, why does the Edinburgh Forbidden Planet not get any decent authors or anyone as a matter of fact?

All we get is a bit of paper that says: “HEY YOU LIKE THIS AUTHOR?!?!?! GO MEET HIM!……IN LONDON!”

  15. Seriously. You missed meeting me in my best blue sweater. It’s rather nice as sweaters go.

  16. I signed a number of extra copies at the Forbidden Planet for them to send to their other branches, so they may pop up in Edinburgh (though I guess that does you little good, Sumisu, since you already bought it).

But I’ve always wanted to see Scotland, and book-signings are great excuses to travel. I’ll try and get out there sooner or later.
