The March Continues

I am very pleased to announce that I have accepted an offer for The Warded Man and The Desert Spear to be translated and published in Bulgaria by Colibri Publishers!

Originally, the above map started as a joke about how many countries were listed on my UK contract as part of “the British Commonwealth”, giving Voyager exclusive English language rights in those countries. My agent and I found that funny, and I decided to mark them on a RISK map, because I love playing RISK. Maybe even more than Scrabble.

Now, with Bulgaria making the total twenty territories, nineteen languages, and I don’t even know anymore how many countries, the joke has stopped being funny, and is now pure, unadulterated awesome, with a side order of OMFG.

And if it were really a RISK game, I would be kicking serious ass.

  1. if it were really a Risk game, I’d now turn in a set for 45 armies and start an amazing comeback

  2. The continent bonus you’d be getting for holding North America alone would set you up for the prize. Well played, Peat, well played…

Wait, we are playing Risk Factions rules here, aren’t we?

  3. If it were a real Risk game, Neil would probably come out of nowhere at this point and win the whole thing, leaving us all shaking our heads.

  4. Man, I´d love to play some RISK again, but noone wants to play anymore, because the game is too long and invariably ends up in everybody hating each other. Pah! The only thing I don´t want to do anymore is playing RISK with couples…
