Books Beneath The Bridge (Recap)

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! Thanks so much to all of you who joined us for Books Beneath The Bridge. For those who couldn’t make it, here’s a recap of some of the highlights!

The day started off beautifully— clear skies and some truly gorgeous views on the way to the event. Photography skills aside, I did manage to snap a shot or two:

If you look close, you can catch Lady Liberty photobombing in the far left.

At 7pm, we spent a few minutes chilling, just in case there were any stragglers (spoiler alert: there were). Nobody seemed to mind. We had a nice breeze coming off the river and fellow fans to talk to!

Then Peat and Naomi read some of their deleted scenes and started on the Q&A’s. They answered thought-provoking questions like ‘what were your biggest influences?’ and ‘when did you know you wanted to be a writer?’ along with more technical inquiries about their preferred writing programs (Microsoft Word).

After all that, Peat and Naomi signed:

And signed:

And signed and signed while they chatted with their fans.

We ended the day with these two awesome authors enjoying each other’s company in the last few hours of daylight before they had to part ways to find succor:

Yesterday’s event was lots of fun. We’re so grateful to WORD for giving us the opportunity to spend some time talking to fans. If you were there, I hope this recap did the event justice. If not, I hope this was enough to fill you in and we hope to see you at our next event!
