Watch HUNTED Ft. Myke Cole This Sunday!!

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! Could you escape if you were being hunted down by the best in law enforcement?

Long-time followers of Peat and the blog will know Myke Cole. He’s the author of the Shadow Ops series, an all-around amazing guy, as well as Peat’s best friend. Remember that time Peat shaved his head for charity? Yep, he’s that guy.

Myke Cole is going to be on Hunted on CBS. This new reality show follows nine teams of two people attempting to evade capture for 28 days. The fugitives are tracked by highly skilled law enforcement experts who combine traditional tactics with state-of-the-art methods.

Enter the Hunters. Myke and other highly skilled law enforcement experts will search the homes of their targets and scour their internet and phone histories, seeking out behavioral patterns that will lead to their ultimate goal: capture.

You can catch the premiere immediately following the AFC Championship game on Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017 (10-11 PM, ET / 7-8 PM, PT) on CBS. That’s THIS SUNDAY. After its debut, Hunted will air Wednesdays at 8/7c, starting with a special two hour episode on Jan. 25, 2017.

We’ll put out another reminder on Friday.

In the meantime, you can check out Control Point, the first of Myke Cole’s Shadow Ops series here!

Verge’s Titles To Watch Out For– THE CORE

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! The Verge put out a list of 33 books to look foreward to in the upcoming year and we were thrilled to see Peat’s name on it.

It’s a great list and definitely worth checking out:

books

“The Core by Peter V. Brett August 15th

Not all long-awaited fantasy epics are years overdue. Case in point: Peter V. Brett’s The Core, which wraps up his Demon Cycle series. There’s little out there about what the book will be about, save that it’s coming to the ending that he had originally plotted out when he began the series back in 2008. This won’t be the end of the story, however: according to his blog, he’ll be starting up a new series set in the same world soon.”

Mark your calendars, folks! Peat’s been working on The Core for a long time and it’s almost completed. Assuming all goes well, 2017 should be an awesome year for fans of The Demon Cycle. You can check out the other books on their list at their official site.

Turkish Rights To Skull Throne Sold

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! We’re officially one step closer to world domination.

Just recently (and by recent I mean two days ago) Peat officially signed the contracts renewing Epsilon’s rights to The Warded Man as well as giving them the rights to translate and publish The Skull Throne:

The Skull Throne US Cover

This is super exciting for us. We’ve been getting questions about when The Skull Throne will come to Turkey. As of now, we can say that it’s on its way!

Thanks so much to JABberwocky Literary Agency for helping to organizing contract details and, of course, to Epsilon. One we get the cover/buy link, we’ll put it up. In the meantime, you can check out all the other translations/versions of Peat’s books currently in the world.

First Fanart Of 2017!

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! Okay, while we’ve technically put up Fanart earlier in the year, these are the first pieces that we actually received in 2017. It totally counts.

Today we’re thrilled to show off some cool interpretations of demons. Walker The Runner created and sent in these pics via Twitter. First up is One Arm looking strong and fierce:

Next are these wind demons. I don’t know what they’re fighting over, but I wouldn’t want to get in the middle of it. I’m really digging the sharp teeth on these guys:

My depictions of the Wind and Rock Demons I made a few months back. (I made the Rock demon one-arm.) I hope you like it.

Great job Walker the Runner! The angles and motion are really awesome. I especially love all the little details like the rock demon’s texture and the hooks on the wind demons’ wings. Very, very cool.

The Critiquing Chemist: Two Reviews

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! Today we’d like to bring some attention to a review who’s been powering through The Demon Cycle at an extraordinary rate. Everyone, let me introduce you to The Critiquing Chemist:

screen-shot-2017-01-11-at-1-46-43-am

Last week we got word that The Chemist (AKA Sarah) had put out a review of The Warded Man. I set up a blog post for the next couple of days when I happened to check back and SURPRISE! She’d done another for The Desert Spear. That’s two reviews in one week:

It took all of my self-control to not immediately pick up the Desert Spear after reading The Warded Man! As a personal rule, I attempt to read a book or two between the books in a series, to allow the novels to stand on their own, however in this case I could hardly wait…

Is there any higher praise? You can read the full review here! You can also check out Sarah’s review of The Warded Man on their official site. Sarah also put The Core on her list of Most Anticipated Books of 2017.

Thanks so much to Sarah for reading and reviewing 🙂
