Hey everyone! So, a few days ago we posted a shoutout to the Zwischen den Seiten bookclub that got together to read Peat’s books. Today, we’re recapping Peat’s interview with a different sort of book club. One that involves homework as well as discussions.
That’s right, Peat’s books are being taught in school.

Peat Skyped in to answer some really great questions sent in by creative-writing students including:
-What was your first step in character development?
-How did you create the world in your series? And how did you keep it from being like other author’s worlds?
-What do you do when you get writer’s block?
-Were you afraid your representation of most women in your stories would offend your audience?
And many more!
Peat had an amazing time chatting with everyone. Thanks so much to Fort Wayne Community Schools, Mr. H’s Creative Writing Class and to Mr. H for reaching out to us.
If you’d like to order Peat’s novellas for the holidays, you can find them here!

Hey everyone! We’re so excited to share art today from a truly devoted fan.
Nanaki was one of the grand prize winners in the Warding Contest. Her submission of Leesha’s herb basket really blew us away!
She also sent in an amazing hand-written card with a picture of an amazing spear. Check her design out! I mean it. That thing is seriously badass.
With all that in mind, you can bet that we were super stoked to get an email from Nanaki with another piece of fantastic fanart:
I am a long time, dedicated fan of all of your books… As an aspiring concept artist, I find your books a great source of inspiration. I thought it would be fun to produce some sketches of Inevera. -Nanaki

This is absolutely incredible. I especially love the detailing of the hair and clothes. Just look at all those lines! It must have taken forever to get right and the effort definitely shows.
You can check out more of Nanaki’s work on her Deviantart. Once again, we’d like to give a huge thanks to Nanaki for showing us her amazing art!

Hey everyone! Happy first of December. I hope you’re all as excited for the holiday season as I am!
As it gets to be the end of the year, there are a lot of ‘best of’ lists starting to pop up. Today we’d like to give a nod to our friends at Waterstones Booksellers for putting The Skull Throne on their Best Fantasy List of 2015.

It’s awesome for Peat to be on there along with great authors like Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, George R. R. Martin, and Naomi Novik. This is definitely a great list with a bunch of excellent books. If you’re looking for something to read over the holidays, I’d recommend checking it out!
The Warded Man makes a great holiday gift as well. You can order your copy here!

Hey everyone! Over the years, SFCrowsnest has put up reviews on many of Peat’s books, most of them positive. Recently, they took on The Skull Throne. Here are a few of the highlights:
“The Skull Throne’ is the fourth fast-paced instalment in Peter V. Brett’s ‘Demon Cycle’, continuing the action right where book three”
“The plot is a twisty tale of political machinations, romantic adventures, cunning deceptions and a whole load of secrets and lies.”

This is a lovely review, short and sweet. Thanks so much to reviewer Vinca for sharing his thoughts. You can check out Vinca’s full post on The Skull Throne here or start with his review of The Warded man.
Grab your own copy of The Skull Throne here and feel free to chat it up! Who knows? Maybe your review will make it on the blog too.

Hey everyone! We were recently contacted by Laura representing a group of stellar fans from the bookclub Zwischen den Seiten (between the sides). These Fantasy-lovers recently picked up the German edition of The Warded Man and decided to let us know how much they’re enjoying it!
“My book club is a very small club but we all enjoy the fantasy genre. So far everyone loves your books. I’m very glad to have found them…”
Laura was also nice enough to send us a compilation of some of the members. Check out these awesome people!

Thank you so much to everyone who sent in pictures (and to everyone who didn’t). You’re all amazing and we’re so happy you reached out us!
You can order your copy of Das Lied der Dunkelheit here.
