Belgrade Bookfair Recap!

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! As we come closer to the end of the year, we’re taking another look back at some of the places Peat went. Today I have the pleasure of showing you his trip to the Belgrade Book Fair in Serbia!

First off, Peat landed in Serbia and got to take a look around at some of the lovely sights.

After his quick look around, Peat had a newspaper interview on Friday. Then on Saturday, it was off to the Belgrade Book Fair.

This video below shows off how impressive the venue was, and follows Peat around for some of his adventures!

During the fair Peat got to meet up with Serbian fans and received some wonderful gifts!

The cosplay committee gave Peat this amazing warded spear (with thanks to representative anjazlatnovic_deangirl on instagram, seen as Pennywise on the right!)

As well as a caricature of Peat made by slavisasevrt on instagram!

The day really began with an interview where Peat got to meet some of his Serbian fans.

You can listen to the whole interview here, courtesy of our Serbian publisher Laguna!

After the interview it was off to sign some books, during which Peat got to meet and greet. Check out this tattoo luna_sacerdos from Instagram showed him during book signings!

He got to meet some amazing cosplayers during the fair, and saw some outstanding Demon Cycle outfits. All leading up to being a Judge at the cosplay competition! Let’s do a quick role call!

manukrafter from Instagram as a great Arlen Bales. He gave Peat a cool warded knife.

loonaide on Instagram as an impressive Leesha Paper, full herbal bag included!

Jihi Karisuma as a lovely Inevra on the left and loonaide again on the right

Jihi strikes a pose here with badgerlock.cosplay from Instagram who’s a badass Jardir!

Peat got in on the action and posed with badgerlock.cosplay.

Finally a group photo with everyone here! You all look absolutely fantastic!

Peat had a lot of fun judging the contest and meeting everyone, but he wasn’t done yet!

Last stop was the fabulous Delfi SKC bookstore on Sunday. The Delfi SKC Bookstore hosted Peat for a book signing session.

I’m a big fan of their Staff’s choice section of the store!

Peat got to do some signings for some amazing fans! (Thanks Jovana_iv9 on Twitter to for the selfies!)

After such an exciting visit, it was time to look around Belgrade a bit longer before finally saying goodbye.

We loved Belgrade and all the fun it had to offer us. Thanks so much to the Serbian Demon Cycle fans,  we couldn’t have done it without you!

Fanart: CORELING Typography

Posted by Karen

Hey everyone! Today I’m super excited to show off a piece of fanart from dangemouse on Instagram.

“Coreling” in Thesan or “Alagai” in Krasian. Steeped in mythology, little is actually known of the creatures beyond their desire to rend the flesh of the living, and fear of daylight.

Typography is such a nifty and unique type of art– and this is an awesome example of it. The texture on the letters are cool enough, but that slithery effect really gives the whole thing a very atmospheric vibe. To me, they almost look like the first wisps of corelings coming up from the ground, just before they turn physical and deadly. Thanks so much to dangemouse for sharing this!
